The Water Corporation is the principal supplier of drinking water to the Perth metropolitan area as well as the rest of Western Australia. For some of these towns, the water is supplied through a vast network of above ground pipes. These pipes require regular inspections and maintenance to make sure that the precious cargo it is carrying isn’t leaking out and wasted.

My City in Virtual Reality

Why do we need Virtual Reality?

Virtual Reality is becoming popular day by day. Using this technology, users can feel the virtual experience of the places. The Gold Coast is hosting the Commonwealth 2018 Games. The Gold Coast is going to attract more visitors from all over the world for this event.

How does the Virtual Reality app work?

3D Printed geophysical data

Team Name:
Petrified Data

Gone are the days when you could go for a walk and stumble across an ore body. Today, most ore bodies are hidden deep underground relying on geophysical data to discoverer.  This requires the use of abstract datasets (e.g., gravity, remanent magnetism, seismic response) that are layered in programs like ArcGIS. However this is still a 2D representation of the data.  Some data is better represented in 3D; in fact many datasets simulate this using artificial sun shading.  This can create shadows that can mask potential data.

Flash me!

Team Name:
null;

We spend a lot of time waiting for things. From public transport, to waiting for family or firends, or even using the bathroom.

Wouldn't it be great to have the opportunity to learn about things that you didnt even know that you wanted to learn about.

We wanted an app that could utlise these small bits of time, and gain something, just a little more. Learn about sciences? Animals, what have you.

Enter Flashme!

A flashcard inspired app that focues on short attention learning (be it a spare 5 minutes, 10 minutes).

GeoScience Digger

Team Name:

Digger like game based on the geology of Australia.
The game will generate an underground map based on your current location, the player will learn about the soil he is standing on by playing the game.
