Street Shark knits together publicly available crime data with a various predictors to build a totally JAWSOME dataset of the safest areas in your city.

This data was fed in to a machine learning algorithm to allow prediction of the safety of areas for which there is no crime data It was used to extract the location of streets and paths as well as public landmarks (statues, parks, pubs, hospitals, etc). This data was then used to assign risk rankings for the landmarks, to make up for locations where data may be lacking.
