Thinking about moving? Where to next?
People considering moving to or within New Zealand often ask the question 'Where to next?'

The problem?
There's a lot of information but it's in a lot of different places. It's overwhelming, it’s time consuming to research and it’s often difficult to get a clear picture of our wonderful regions.  We want people to understand they can choose from more than just Auckland’s hectic urban lifestyle.

Presenting..."My Great New Zealand"
Tell us about you and we'll paint a picture of your new life in New Zealand places that match you!

How it works?
Using clever algorithms that ask about you, your job, your family and other things you care about, My Great New Zealand, effortlessly displays the top three areas that best suit your needs!

We’ve developed our web application using a suite called JHipster, which includes Spring-boot, Angular, a Postgres database and gulp. We used IBM Bluemix to run all of our deployments which helped us to commit and deploy in one step.  With the rise in popularity of virtual assistants, we also wanted a natural language option so we’ve used IBM Watson to allow our user to simply ask a question and she’ll return an intelligent answer.  We've also included a CMS system to enable back end system adminstration include managing user access and data cleansing.

Meet Jen - she's a 32-year old manager working at a large corporate in Auckland. She’s a Mum to two young boys. She spends two hours every day travelling between work and home. She’s looking to move somewhere she can find a good job but more importantly spend less time commuting and more time with her family.

Meet Maurice - a 33-year old single, farm manager who is into adventure photography is looking at moving to New Zealand. He loves trekking, hiking and skiing. He’s trying to choose where to move.

Meet Wolf - a 25-year-old Russian IT professional who is keen to pursue a quieter life in rural New Zealand – he’s fond of sheep and has heard NZ has plenty...

Let's check “My Great New Zealand” and decide “Where to next”.
